Your Right to Delete Your Account
At Invoisify, we respect your right to control your personal data. You can delete your account and all associated data at any time directly from the mobile app. This page explains the account deletion process and what happens to your data.
Primary deletion method: Account deletion is performed within the Invoisify mobile app. An email option is available if you cannot access the app.
How to Delete Your Account
Method 1: In-App Deletion (Recommended)
You can delete your account directly from the Invoisify mobile app:
- Open the Invoisify app on your device
- Tap the menu icon or go to Settings
- Select Account Settings or Profile
- Scroll down to find Delete Account
- Read the warning message about permanent data deletion
- Enter your password to verify your identity
- Tap Confirm Delete Account
- You will receive a confirmation email
⚠️ Warning: Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. All your business data will be permanently deleted after 30 days.
Method 2: Email Request (If You Cannot Access the App)
If you cannot access the mobile app, you can request account deletion via email:
Email To: support@invoisify.app
Subject: Account Deletion Request
Required Information:
- Your full name
- Email address associated with your account
- Phone number (if provided during registration)
- Business name (if applicable)
- Reason you cannot access the app (optional)
- Confirmation statement: "I request deletion of my Invoisify account and all associated data"
We will verify your identity and process your request within 72 hours. You will receive a confirmation email once your account deletion is initiated.
What Gets Deleted
When you delete your account, the following data will be permanently removed:
- Account Information: Name, email, phone number, password
- Business Profile: Business name, logo, tax information, address
- Invoices: All invoices you created (draft, sent, paid)
- Customers: Customer contact information and purchase history
- Products/Services: Your product and service catalog
- Payment Information: Saved payment methods (immediately deleted)
- Reports: Sales reports and analytics data
- Settings: App preferences and customizations
- Attachments: Uploaded files, images, and documents
Data Retention Period
30-Day Grace Period
After you request deletion, your account enters a 30-day grace period:
- Your account is immediately deactivated and you cannot log in
- Your data is marked for deletion but not yet removed
- You can cancel the deletion within 30 days by contacting support
- After 30 days, your data is permanently deleted and cannot be recovered
What We Retain
For legal and security purposes, we may retain certain information even after account deletion:
- Transaction Records: Financial transaction logs for 7 years (tax compliance)
- Legal Compliance: Data required by law or regulation
- Security Logs: Anonymized security and fraud prevention logs
- Backup Systems: Data in automated backups (deleted within 90 days)
Note: Retained data is anonymized where possible and securely stored with restricted access.
Before You Delete
⚠️ Important Warning
Once your account is deleted, all your data will be permanently removed and cannot be recovered:
- All invoices you created
- Customer contact information
- Product and service catalog
- Sales history and reports
- Business profile and settings
Make sure you have saved any important information before proceeding with deletion.
Consider These Alternatives
Before permanently deleting your account, you might want to:
- Cancel Subscription: Downgrade to the free Starter plan instead of deleting
- Contact Support: Reach out if you're having issues with the app - we can help!
- Take a Break: Simply stop using the app without deleting - your data will remain safe
Active Subscriptions
If you have an active paid subscription:
- Your subscription will be immediately cancelled
- You will not be charged for future billing periods
- No refunds for the current billing period (unless within 30-day money-back guarantee)
- You can continue using the app until the current period ends, then deletion begins
Third-Party Services
If you connected third-party services (payment processors, accounting software):
- Invoisify will disconnect from these services
- You must separately delete data from third-party platforms
- Check each service's own data deletion policy
Cancelling Deletion
Changed your mind? You can cancel the deletion within 30 days:
- Email support@invoisify.app with subject "Cancel Account Deletion"
- Include your account email address
- We'll verify your identity
- Your account will be reactivated within 24 hours
Note: After 30 days, deletion is final and cannot be reversed.
Your Rights
Under data protection laws (GDPR, CCPA), you have the right to:
- Right to Erasure: Request deletion of your personal data
- Right to Be Forgotten: Have your data removed from our systems
- Right to Confirmation: Receive confirmation when deletion is complete
- Right to Information: Know what data we collect and how we use it (see our Privacy Policy)
Verification Process
To protect your account security, we verify your identity before processing deletion requests:
- In-app deletion requires password confirmation
- Email requests require response from registered email address
- We may ask security questions to verify ownership
- Processing typically takes 24-72 hours after verification
